A deep-thinking semiotician
Hilja helps organisations understand the hidden drivers behind people’s behaviour and ideals – so that strategies and services can address the right questions.
As both consultant and researcher, she contributes to projects that require deep dives into human behaviour and meaning-making. Her focus areas include wellbeing, financial security, and changes in working life.
Understanding societal change and everyday phenomena requires time, sensitivity, and the willingness to look differently. For Hilja, anthropology is above all a way of being – placing oneself in others’ shoes with curiosity, questioning the obvious, and making complexity comprehensible.
Hilja has worked internationally and across disciplines as a freelancer and in development projects.
